I have recently replaced my Z1's and reinstalled the Dual Fisheye Raw Plugins on both cameras. These new cameras seemed to drain the battery at a faster rate than the previous cameras. I then noticed that the WIFI icon turns on whenever I launch the plugin in-camera, even if I have the WIFI option off. I assume that having this feature constantly broadcasting would contribute to the battery drain. I have tried many different things to turn off the WIFI, without success.

Hi,

As your guess, this plugin will turn on Wi-Fi automatically when it launching.
According to this explanation, it seems that there is no method provided to turn off the Wi-Fi..

Also, unfortunately, this plugin is no more maintained now.
This information was posted in #13 also.

Unfortunately, DualFisheye Plug-in Remote looks not available in Google Play store anymore. It is announced by Mr. Ichi Hirota officially.

By the way, I experimented to turn off Wi-Fi during DFR plugin running, by developer command (sending Broadcast Intent by adb interface). In the result,

During DFR plugin running,
Wi-Fi ON: 2.20-2.30 Watt
Wi-Fi OFF: 1.95-2.05 Watt, battery drain will be decreased about 10%.
This is just for your information.

Best regards,
Daisuke Hohjoh
