The "new message" menu behave the same way for all addresses, regardless of whether or not you already have a conversation with that address. This is how it works on iMessage (I think we could/should copy):

  • if the input matches an existing conversation, the existing conversation is listed. If you click on the conversation it takes you to the conversation
  • if the input doesn't match an existing conversation, it shows the message input field. If you send a message, then it takes you to the conversation.

What is the expected behavior?

What is the actual behavior?

When you input a valid ENS or ETH address, the avatar is show at the bottom of the screen, even if you have existing conversations.

How can you reproduce the bug?

Go to the new message page and enter the ENS of someone you already have messages with.
