Summary

Hi RAMIP folks,

I'm interested in comparing projected aerosol and GHG reduction's influence on future fire weather risk. To do that, I am wondering if I can get the historical and SSP1-2.6 daily data for the following variables.

Fire Weather Index (FWI) analysis requires daily data of:

  • near-surface (~2m) maximum daily temperature (tasmax)
  • near-surface (~2m) relative humidity (hurs)
  • near-surface (~10m) wind speed (sfcWind)
  • precipitation (pr)

We are also interested in looking into how temperature variations might relate to fire weather risk, and we are also interested in getting daily data of:

  • near-surface (~2m) minimum daily temperature (tasmin)
  • near-surface (~2m) average daily temperature (tas)

For the historical runs, we use the years 1960-1990, and for the ssp126 runs, we use 2015-2051. We generally follow the RAMIP dataset and use the r1i1p1f1 to r10i1p1f1 variants, but we would be happy to see if we could use other runs you have that might be comparable.

We have a Globus endpoint here at UT if y'all are also using Globus. Otherwise, we could sftp and get the files from your directory.

Thank you in advance!
