What is the bug or the crash?

Accents in file names can be annoying for software, and QGIS in particular, to work properly. The previous default suffix was _georef and is better suited to defining georeferenced images. Is it possible to go back to this default naming?

Steps to reproduce the issue

In french version of QGIS :

  • layer/georeferencing
  • georeferencing parameters
  • outpout name

Versions

3.32

Supported QGIS version

  • I'm running a supported QGIS version according to the roadmap.

Hello,

If the issue is still present in QGIS 3.36.3, could you add a screenshot of the parameters, please?

I think that a translation might have been created for this...

Thanks

I think as well of an unfortunate translation...

I updated the translation in Transifex:

I added a comment to make sure that we keep _georef in the future.

With some luck it will be in QGIS versions 3.34.8 LTR and 3.38.0 that will be released next week.

In all case, it will be in QGIS versions 3.34.9 LTR and 3.38.1 that will be released end of July.

Closing for now, don't hesitate to re-open if it is not included in 3.34.9 or 3.38.1.

I confirm that the correction is available in the latest QGIS 3.38.0 Grenoble, and QGIS 3.34.8 LTR.

The release will be this week.
