I am running rTorrent PS-1.1-25-g1b53ac9 0.9.6/0.13.6 and was wondering if there are any newer versions based on the latest rTorrent/libtorrent changes etc.

I couldn't even compile my own on Mint 21.
I had to use chros73's fork instead.

Hopefully, rtorrent just getting a new release may motivate a refresh? I sure hope so, as vanilla rtorrent still lacks any colour support.

Has this project become abandoned?

Looks like it, but I sure hope not, as it would be amazing to get it rebased against the current upstream, with some of the UI enhancements being merged upstream, hopefully? Hoping for signs here too!

I tried downloading and compiling on FreeBSD but it doesn't work. The build script is complex and custom-written and seems to highly depend on Linux.

If I have time, I may attempt on a Linux machine. But the build script scares me.

I'm also interested in building on FreeBSD! While I did manage on a previous rtorrent release by removing some Linuxisms from the PS patch set, I haven't given the latest rtorrent releases a try. Looking forward to reading about your attempts!
