We were humbled to discover that the paper was nominated for the 2018 Paul Fortier Prize, given for the best paper by a young scholar/early stage researcher at the conference. In true Latin American style, the dancing stretched throughout the night, and a brave few stayed up together to see the sun rise over Bogotá, hoping to stretch out a few extra hours of what become a deep bond between a group that had only recently been strangers. The post was part celebration, and part self-reflection for our team - a chance to see if we were as diverse and globally representative as we might have liked to think. Two and a half years later, and with an almost entirely new team in control, I thought it was time for another check-in. The map above shows where our current and past editorial team lives. As you can see, we're a fairly Western bunch, but I think we're quite proud that we've managed to grow substantially beyond the borders of Canada and the United States where we started. Interestingly, we still haven't had any contributions from Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa, despite large English-speaking populations.
