Unable to install latest version due to dependency

Version

Please specify what version of the library you are using: [3.16.1]

Expected Behavior

Have the latest version installed (3.16.1).

Observed Behavior

Until now, I had been using version 3.14.0.
I tried to install version 3.16.1 but got the following error:
npm ERR! notarget No matching version found for @fluentui/[email protected].

I tried to install version 3.16.0: same error.
I tried to install version 3.15.0: installation OK.

Is this because @fluentui/react-alert version 9.0.0-beta.101 was only released a few hours ago (published 4 hours ago)?
Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

Steps to Reproduce

Install the latest version of @pnp/spfx-controls-react.
