Project Upgrade - no step to remove @microsoft/rush-stack-compiler?

Just trying the upgrade to SPFx 1.12.1. Is there a reason for no step to uninstall the previous @microsoft/rush-stack-compiler?

Got it. I believe you've just spotted a bug in our logic. While we do have rules for uninstalling rush-stack-compiler 3.3 and installing 3.7, we also defined 3.7 as superseding 3.3. The problem is, that superseding doesn't take into account the difference between uninstalling and installing, so we should think how to deal with it.

I've created issue #2593 to help us track the issue and possible solution.

Thanks Waldek, presumably the workaround for now is just manually add:

npm un -D @microsoft/rush-stack-compiler-3.3

to the script steps?
