Search widget - incorrect map view

From user testing:

When it gets stuck eg when I typed in Iceni) – it seems to default to a map view between Howland Island and Baker Island – they turn out to be uninhabited coral islands in the mid-Pacific – which is strange, because the gadget also spots that the Iceni were based somewhere around King’s Lynn.

I wonder if this might what happens when results are returned but none have a location?
