To test the code after a checkout, in a recent Linux, just run:
$ autoreconf -ifs
$ ./configure --enable-debug
$ make CFLAGS="-O0 -g3"
If there are missing dependencies it will tell in the configure
call. Usually one just need to install gmp devel, mpfr devel and
mpc devel, e.g.
fedora:
$ sudo yum install gmp-devel mpfr-devel libmpc-devel
ubuntu:
$ sudo apt-get install libgmp-dev libmpfr-dev libmpc-dev
Hardest part should be installing latest GNU lightning, e.g.:
$ git clone git://git.savannah.gnu.org/lightning.git
$ cd lightning
$ autoreconf -ifs
$ ./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-assertions
$ make CFLAGS="-O0 -g3"
$ sudo make install
You may prefer to not use /usr prefix but that may cause it to
use the wrong lightning version; you can run
$ sudo make uninstall
to remove lightning.
