Hi -- I apologize if this has been previously asked! I didn't see it in a search of the discussions, nor in the documentation.
I have a bunch of files that cannot be matched because they're unavailable in thetvdb, typically sporting events. In that situation, I'd still like to have those unmatched files renamed based on the available metadata (such as "{BroadcastDate} - {Title} - {Subtitle} or something similar). There's an option to move unmatched files, but I don't see an option to rename them as well.
Is there an option in XML to accomplish this?
(This script has saved me a ton of time, and I've integrated it with Plex easily for remote access purposes. I truly appreciate your effort on this project. If I was better with Powershell, I'd offer to help!)
Thanks!
+1 on both the need and gratefulness for this project. I was looking into how to do this last night, but could not find anything.
I too would like to see this option. In my case, news shows are the issue. For example the metadata for the show 20/20 recorded on 8/26/16 is fully readable and the script looks for a tvdb match. Since the tvdb data is almost always several months behind, it finds no match. But it knows the series name ("20-20"), and it knows the subtitle ("The Girl Left Behind"), and it knows where it should be moved! It would be great if it could just rename and move the file to the 20/20 series folder, without the tvdb match.
