ManageIQ chargeback rates - Rates per Service Request, Duration of Service Request etc. #21820

I'm thinking this might be possible in chargeback but it require some sort of new rate type that's based on the number of rows. Currently we have allocation which is based on a column (e.g. memory column for a vm is the allocated memory) and the normal one is based on metrics (e.g. total cpiu usage over the last 30 days). For this use case we would need something else like a total count of service request rows for a user over the last 30 days. I don't see us adding this feature any time soon, but if you'd like to try to contribute it, I could possibly see it. Before you create a PR though i recommend creating an issue where it can be discussed along with your proposed approach. |

Hi all,
I'm running Lasker and I am very interested in adding individual Chargeback Rates.
Out of the box, MIQ offers nice rates based on CPU-, Memory-, IO-Usage. What I would like to establish is something like a price per service request if someone requests a service from the catalog (maybe just a piece of Ansible automation being executed on an existing machine).
Is that possible? Maybe with generic objects?
Thanks in advance and best regards, Marcel.
