Hoxx VPN Extension - Working Fine For Ages But Now Won't Connect

Hoxx VPN has been working perfectly & fast with all servers for ages since installing but now in the last week it will just sit on the connection bar very slowly trying to connect & eventually says it can't or is being blocked. Is this a possible issue caused by the newest versions of Opera or something else? I haven't been able to find any feedback on this from anyone else experiencing the same issue but nothing has really changed at my end that I'm aware of that would cause this.
