Problem

During my work on #11 (the result is shared privately with @opensystm for now), I compiled a list of all methods known to me for resolving Handshake domains. That section is called "How to open your website". I realised the simplest method to use is a DNS server. The only working DNS server is https://hnsdns.com, which is mind-blowing.

What will you be building? Why is that a valuable open source contribution to Handshake?

I recently found out tha @Nathanwoodburn has built an amazing project at https://welcome.hnsdoh.com. I'd like to support it by adding another node for at least two years, writing a blog post about the setup, and sharing a half of this grant with him.

What have you built previously?

What are completion criteria?

A full-featured node which includes:

  • DoH JSON
  • DoH Wire
  • DoT
  • DNS
  • HIP05
  • uptime monitoring

When will this be completed (max 4 weeks)?

Within a couple of weeks after the grant is awarded.

What is your contact information?

G'day,

HNSDoH only supports DoH wireframe as the backend doesn't allow it. That is alright though as it isn't used by system DNS resolvers.
All the other features are correct.
