Hi, Newbe here... I'm having trouble figuring out the problem why my leds stopped working. Is there any guidance on how to test parts of the setup seperately? E.g. how can I test if the led strip is functional? I'm thinking maybe I somehow miswired something and destroyed the chip from the led strip in the proces. Setup: Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! |

I found out that I blew up the led-strip. To be safe I also connected another adapter purely used for the led-strip. |

I found out that I blew up the led-strip.
When I connected another one (also WS2813) it worked.
To be safe I also connected another adapter purely used for the led-strip.
I am hesitant to reconnect the led-strip to the 5v pin of the Rpi.
Could there be a reason that connecting the 5v Rpi pin direcly to the led-strip somehow destroys the strip?
Maybe a voltage peak at boot?
