moving too fast to skip

I think Youtube skip button is appearing slightly slower or the ads have shorter minimums. The fast forwarding speed is finishing the ad before the skip button can appear. As a result, Youtube's firewall is detecting the fast-forwarding script as an ad blocker. I don't know if there is a way to have a script read a time range of the Ad, and thus slow the ad fast-forwarding down when ads are shorter.
