Max. Heading Level on table of contents

This is most likely a noob question. Although, I am following Markdown to define heading levels in a report/dashboard, I only get up 2nd level (##) on the TOC.

Is there a configuration or practice that I am missing here?

You are correct, this is currently hard-coded to these levels. Tracking issue #1529
