Would it be possible to have the option to show only the icons for the applications which are on the current workspace? When switching to another workspace the icons on the dock will change to the applications on that workspace.

When I was working on this code, the hyprctl activeworkspace command was not yet available. Now it seems to be doable. However, seeing apps from other workspaces seems to me a reason to use the dock at all, so I'm not sure if it's a good idea, is it?

My usual workflow is having the workspaces set up for specific types of applications so having all the applications appear on the dock especially when having a lot running at the same time makes the dock overcrowded and cycling through the apps becomes faster. I do get your point though. But for my use case it would be a great feature to have.

I'll consider adding this for you when I'm done with my current work.

+1 It would be a really useful feature to allow showing per-workspace, or even allow hiding windows from certain workspaces
