It has been a year since Atom's sunset, but the Atom legacy has been picked up by the community and successors have been created. The most prominent of these is Pulsar, with its own package repository.
A Hydrogen is a great package that a lot of poeople have been using for many years, and it's a package that is now in maintained mode. I and many others would be very happy to see Hydrogen officially released in the repository of the best successor to the Atom editor. As far as a package is a core-likefor many people, the idea of Hydrogen fork has been seeded too.
An action is needed to install Hydrogen in Pulsar now.
Best regards, SB

There is a big update od Pulsar at the corner. New version of electron is coming. One of core pulsar developers has created a fork of hydrogen, rename it to hydron and updare zermq to fit newest electron. Its still not published to pulsar package reposity, but it is significantly faster than hydrogen. https://github.com/mauricioszabo/hydron
