NAME

Digest::SHA256::PurePerl - Pure Perl implementation of the SHA-256 algorithm.

SYNOPSIS

use Digest::SHA256::PurePerl;
my $hash = sha256("input string");

DESCRIPTION

This is a Pure Perl implementation of the SHA-256 message-digest algorithm (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SHA-2) that does not depend on any other modules.

Methods

• sha256()

  Returns the SHA-256 hash of the given string as a hex string.
