Strategic Task: Once we complete the Fedora cleanup, we should work on reducing AWS costs. David has leftover files from the migration that are still stored in EFS. These need to be deleted, but without impacting the backup system.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • AWS Cost Savings steps provided to the client to reduce aws bill.

David talked a little further into detail about wanting to look into the backups. Where can they cost cut. They are also going to be culling the tmp directory soon. David's concern is that the backups we have on file would then have the additional items in the tmp directory (which are as David said substantial) and wants to think through how scorched earth he can go with deleting backups to cut costs.
