On FF97, the tab bar used to be Compact Size bar , but now it's back to the default after the most recent update.
Cannot use the Compact Mode with Material Fox's CSS, as it default to the largest tab.
In about:config settings browser.compactmode.show set to true do not help either.

Remove that “Firefox View” icon might help
