See Naomi debug 93 for Mali:

  • Model gave a gradient function error during fit_tmb() when ART data was included with data missing (NAs) for two regions.
  • Model fit after filtering ART dataset to exclude regions with missing data

From 2023 workshops:

  • Use case: GHA, DRC - missing ANC and ART observations for several districts.
  • Model gives gradient error when trying to fit with 0s representing missing data.
  • Ideally - Model options to specify which districts to excluded from model fit (remove from shape file and all input data files) BUT have outputs generated with full map/ full maps with missing observations for excluded districts
