This is what happens when I try to install from folder:

Failed to load extension from: ~/Downloads/proxy-anywhere-extension-master
The 'manifest_version' key must be present and set to 2 (without quotes). See developer.chrome.com/extensions/manifestVersion.html for details.

IT needs updating, I havn't updated it in years.
