Windows Terminal version

1.21.2701.0

Windows build number

10.0.22631.4317

Other Software

No response

Steps to reproduce

  • Install custom font like "Fira Mono" or "IBM Plex Mono"
  • Try to configure it in Windows Terminal

Expected Behavior

I expect the font to be changed

Actual Behavior

Windows Temrinal claims in cannot find the font when pressing the save button. This also happens if I change the font directly in the JSON, as soon as the config file is saved Terminal says it cannot find the font.

Although, after I trigger something (I did not find out yet what it is, maybe it's just randomly, it suddenly works until i restart terminal again)

Verify Font Installation: Ensure the font is correctly installed on your system and accessible.

Other applications don't have a problem accessing them

Clear Terminal Cache: Clear any cache or reset settings for the terminal.

Where can I do that?

Look for Updates: Check if there are any updates to Windows Terminal that might address this bug.

It's already the newest one that winget has available. I also tried to downgrade without luck.

Are you sure? The Video looks very different from mine.

I apologize for the misunderstanding - we had multiple duplicates of the other issue come in over the last few days. I missed that you modified the settings.json file as well.

Also experiencing the same issue. Curiously the issue fixes itself if I simply open Settings i.e. the missing font error stops popping up and the font starts working in new Terminal tabs.
