bulk edit hangs

[hot-ham-water]

Two text fields, both bulk edit enabled (tho this happens with any bulk edit, even one field at a time). I select the records I want to edit, select edit, make the changes, click update, and the circle starts spinning and then the process hangs and the circle never stops.

I'm actually using this with SCF, but the same problem happened with ACF.
