Goal of the course is to give a high-level overview of problems in security of information systems. Participants will be introduced into:
- theoretical models of access rights,
- security of operating systems,
- sandboxing (compartmentalisation),
- security of browsers,
- security of web applications,
- pitfalls of network protocols,
- denial of service attacks,
- designing secure applications,
- verification of correctness,
- testing.
After the course, you should be able to find information sources related to your security problems.
- Presence on labs are mandatory with at most one absence.
- Presentation in relaxed PechaKucha format (up to 20 slides, 6:40 minutes, https://www.pechakucha.org/) + 2 homeworks.
- The course will be closed by a combination of written and oral exam.
