Living A Life of Purpose

The believer wakes up. The non-believer wakes up. We wake as does the world. What will you do to differentiate yourself and the blessings you have been given. The opportunities you have been give. The talents you have been given. The difficulties you have been spared from.

Living a life of direct purpose:

“When one of you wakes, let them say, ‘O’ Allah, by Your leave we have reached the morning and by Your leave we reach the evening, and by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die’.” Sahih Muslim, 2675

“And when one of you returns in the evening, let them say, ‘O’ Allah, by Your leave we have reached the evening and by Your leave we reach the morning, and by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die, and unto You is our return’.”

Live for Allah. Die for Allah.

Islam is not the “death cult” that people speak of, but rather a brutally honest assessment that this life is not forever and that if we want answers to all of our questions, if we want to have the means to fulfill our desires, then we can only do so in The Next Life, and therefore, be honest that this life is not the end. Otherwise, our passions, our desires, if left unchecked, will rule us and run is into the ground.

Mankind is an anxious creation:

The root of Islamic spirituality and psychology: get comfortable getting uncomfortable.

Be determined to do good, no matter your previous track record. Be decisive in your du’ah, despite the previous attempts:
