I think it would be helpful, if the tool allowed for slightly overlapping inputs, for playing a little more legato. E.g. in the melody playback, you have to leave a pause between the two inputs:
DDDD
CCCC
--> time -->
If they overlap slightly, like this:
DDDD
CCCC
it is not counted as the correct answer.
The algorithm rejecting the solution for not playing perfect staccato can be a bit frustrating. Perhaps it would be possible for it to just look that the correct keys are pressed down in the right succession for melodies, and not care so much that another key is still playing?
