Settings red circle & errors message

Hi, I downloaded the app including the submodule which i put in the folder and renamed per the instructions. When I open the app the settings button has a red circle around it and when I click it nothing happens.

When I go to app and Right click settings and hit > Inspect Element > Console tab

If you uninstall and reinstall it it will reset the download count
