Request for a community owned GCP project for minikube #33654

we don't provide dedicated projects for sub-projects. We instead provide build pools (through Kubetest2 + Boskos) where they can run their tests. |
That would be https://github.com/kubernetes/k8s.io This repo manages some of the test tooling and CI configs under SIG Testing. For Cloud Infrastructure k8s.io under SIG K8s Infra. We wouldn't just provide a GCP project, it would have specific usage details and resource tracking, and configuration in git to enable APIs etc. We need to know the requirements. We don't want to create more mystery infra nobody can maintain and reproduce. For things like releasing container images we have shared infrastructure and documentation (see https://registry.k8s.io as a starting point). For things like testing with GCE VMs, we provide a shared pool of rental projects in Prow, as mentioned above. We can discuss CI here, but for resource requests kubernetes/k8s.io is the right place for visibility. |
[conversation is now at https://github.com/kubernetes/k8s.io/issues/7414] |
Hello, minikube maintainer here, I would like to ask for a GCP project for minikube owned by the CNCF community, our release test infra is at a google owned project that we like to explore migrating it to CNCF-owned project, is this the right place to ask for it ?
