I had it installed but it was not saving my instagram login (therefore IG hovercards weren't working) so I uninstalled with the intention of reinstalling to see if that fixed things. I Now face the same error as OP. I also tried downloading the zip from GitHub and uploading to chrome as an unpacked extension but the repo is missing a manifest file.
