Question: possible to extract public track data?

Do you know if it would be possible to extract the public tracks overlay? I can see that I can click on individual track details and then find a button to "copy to my tracks" or export in a variety of formats. I essentially would like to do this in bulk. It doesn't look like your client will do this directly but if you had a sense of how difficult it would be to add this functionality, I would be interested to try it.
