Probably started in 2024/11 I noticed some websites newly opened on FF takes dozens of seconds.

List of websites the issue can be seen:

  • Facebook.com
  • discourse.ros.org
  • discussion.fedoraproject.org
  • community.home-assistant.io (Discourse) doesn't even load for a few minutes.
  • blogger.com
  • togetter.com lol

Things attempted but didn't seem to help

  • Clear the cache (not cookie)

This happened to a blog page on blogger.com also. Then before the same page finishes fully loading I terminate FF then re-opened. The page immediately loaded.
IDK if that just showed a cache (IDK even if the data was already stored in the cache before FF terminated though) or loaded after FF restarted. If the latter, then this may be related to FF being long-running?

Oh, well no. Right now it's still just a few minutes after FF restarted, then https://discourse.ros.org/ took 20+ seconds to show the page.
I see RAM usage:

  • Before terminating: More than 8GB
  • Now: a few GB
