Right now it messes up with a foreign character:

ﺡ

  • When I less the output, the character is replaced with an 'unknown character symbol'
  • All rows after the row containing this character are truncated when opening the output file in OpenOffice.

Seems to be working correct, wrote some tests to ensure this.

Looks like it works fine with a UTF8 file, but not a "Arabic DOS/OS2-864" file, whatever the hell that is! Reopening this issue.
