/storage permission errors

using Docker compose:

MKV:
    image: jlesage/mkvtoolnix:latest
    container_name: MKV
    environment:
        - PUID=1026
        - PGID=101
        - TZ=America/Los_Angeles
    volumes:
        - /volume4/docker/MKV/config:/config
        - /volume1/Core:/storage
    network_mode: host
    restart: unless-stopped

This is the same UID/GID I use for other containers with RW access to that volume/folder
quentin@SERGE_NAS:/volume4/docker$ id
uid=1026(quentin) gid=100(users) groups=100(users),101(administrators)

unable to get any folders to show up in the /storage, docker shows this error: [synology DSM]
[app ] inotify_add_watch/storage) failed: (Permission denied)

I've tried other GID (100) with same error.

the config folder does have data written (so the UID/GID is working) all folders/volumes have same permissions, as this is just a media box.

The user/group should be configured via USER_ID and GROUP_ID variables. See https://github.com/jlesage/docker-mkvtoolnix?tab=readme-ov-file#environment-variables

not sure why I overlooked that, just read User_ID as PUID, in my head.
