Passing the Translate task through the library

Would it be possible to use this library with the translate option, hopefully just by passing the task option through set to translate?

Yes, it accepts all the arguments that whisper accepts. While segment timestamps is will likely come out fine, it is hard to say whether the word timestamps will be useful because the translations aren't generally word-for-word.

Hi at the moment I am just after segments for the translate (subtitles)

I presume I would just add task='translate' as an option when calling model.translate ?

HI, that just worked, the audio I was working with was a mix of French and English. with task=translate set for the job. overall, the timestamps seemed more accurate on the English but it all worked.
