Version 1.3.0 barely able to find and control base stations, reverting to 1.2.0 helped #236

Also having this on my Pixel 7. |
I think I found the problem. Could you guys please download the beta version from the Google play store to see if this fixes your problem? https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.jeroen1602.lighthouse_pm |
I think it is because Google is still reviewing the beta. Can you try this APK instead? If you feel comfortable doing so ofcourse |
works on my phone 👍 |
After some trial and error I was able to recreate your problem and have a possible fix. @SkySpnc can you try it out? |
Uploading 8mb.video-tKK-fAInELK9.mp4 … it still seems to be not the best at discovery, but the statuses update correctly, though not initially the first time. |
github mobile my behated 8mb.video-tKK-fAInELK9.mp4 |
For me it was also stuck on booting until i changed the state again then it started behaving as expected again. For now I'll publish a new version that makes the app usable again and I'll look in the other problems tomorrow. |
I've tried lighthouse_pm-1.3.1-beta2+11.arm64. |
Running 1.3.1 and I can no longer sleep / then off my base stations |
Not sure if it would be helpful, but I checked logcat, and maybe found something. There are bluetooth-related logs during device discovery from BluetoothGatt and [FBP-Android]. But when I try to turn base stations on, there are no new messages in logs. So maybe there's some condition check that fails and bluetooth actions are just not executed? |
On 1.3.1 I can't see any of my lighthouses. Mine are v1.0 lighthouses |
I have same issue. On other phone, I still have previous version and it works much better. Might also revert to 1.2.0 Update: reverting back to 1.2.0 worked, it is now able to find and control basestations 1.0 without issues. New version is able to find them only 1-2 times in 20 tries (restarting app and searching for them). |
Hello,
I'm a regular user of this app.
After the last update the app was only detecting some base stations sometimes. And even when it did, I wasn't been able to put 2 out of 3 base stations to sleep.
I've tried with no success:
• rebooting my phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 5).
• rebooting one of the base stations (2.0) I couldn't put to sleep by unplugging and plugging it
• clearing app data
• going through troubleshooting steps, requesting and accepting permissions
When I installed 1.2.0 apk, it right away detected all 3 base stations, and I was able to successfully put them to sleep.
