How does rtx handle binaries?

While installing Ruby 3.2.2 on Ubuntu using the .tool-versions below, I've noticed that Ruby is compiled from source, and that takes quite a lot of time.

nodejs 18.16.1
shellcheck 0.9.0
yarn 1.22.19

So is it possible to install Ruby using some precompiled binaries instead?
Does rtx support that?
Where these binaries are compiled and stored in that case?
How to make Ruby 3.2.2 for Ubuntu available from such binaries?

rtx uses asdf plugins. So if asdf plugin compiles something from source, the rtx will do the same.
