Else, we will have different completely translated versions after every release. With transifex we only need to translate the changes.

Felix: Is the translation process working? Or is there a need to for further configuration?

sure, just tested it again on the master branch.
Simply run make translated and it will

  • upload the latest strings to transifex (if you have a ~/.transifexrc)
  • pull all translations from transifex
  • build pdfs for all languages

I think travis is a good Idea to automate this.

Did anyone try if it still works?

What exactly do we write on the front page?

Should we have different translated branches? Or just one? Having branches for the old releases available allows us to copy the existing translations into transifex and then only translate the changes for the new ones.

I don't have time to do this myself, but I can guide and help.

I'm interested in helping with this. But I would need assistance. How should I get started?

I believe we already have branches for the versions.
