I generate the APK from Android Studio, but my cell phone does not recognize the format.

I created an application, I generated the APK, it generated it without any problem, but when I wanted to install the App on the cell phone it did not allow me and told me the following message: You may not have a compatible application.

I have already done all the Android troubleshooting options and the problem persists.

If I run the emulator, the application opens without a problem, but when I generate the APK and try to install it, it does not recognize the APK format.

Solved.

The problem arose (I assume) from sending it via WhatsApp from Mac, in some way it modifies the content of the file or its format (I don't know how but it is possible).

I shared the file via wetransfer, downloaded it and was able to install it without problem.

I'm sharing with you in case you have the same problem.
