Rich previews for links not showing for repos with SAML SSO auth enabled

Hi there!

The organization that I belong to (on the GH Enterprise plan) currently has SAML SSO as optional. I opted in and, it seems that once I did, Slack rich previews for links stopped working. However, this feature still works for my colleagues (I'm assuming they have not currently opted in to use SAML SSO). I've checked /github settings and rich previews are not muted. Also, the issue occurs whether I'm currently logged into GH or not.

Any thoughts on this? I'm not 100% sure that it's related to SAML SSO but the issue seemed to start once I enabled it.

I was able to get this working. I found the answer while reading this thread. It's not specifically about SAML SSO, but /github subscribe org/repo works nonetheless.

If you have SAML SSO enabled for your organization and are using it to login to your org's repo(s) then once you enter /github subscribe org/repo in a Slack channel it will prompt you to authorize your account to login to your org's integration via SAML SSO.

For the purposes of enabling rich link previews, just authorize. There's no need to enter /github subscribe again.
