Host_WindowLoadTimeout error #5
Comments
Same issue here, few update cycles, file size went from 800ish MB to 1.23GB so something must have been working, after that the same error you mentioned |
I've found that opening the pre-loader from the folder before the application prevents it from timeout, however it opens a completely blank launcher. Not much help but a little further. |
Hey! |
Same issue here. Only the steam version works for me :( |
I also have this issue. It's a problem with the SWTOR launcher, not with this app or on my end, right? |
Any luck? |
Have been super excited to try this game out and was hit with this same error as everyone else. I just downloaded & redownloaded the latest version from here and seems the issue hasn't been fixed by the SWTOR devs yet? |
You can use steam through wine to play it. Otherwise you’re stuck waiting on the devs. I think the next game version comes out sometime this winter. Maybe then |
yeah thats what i've been finding also from reading other posts... I guess the alternative is loading Steam with Wine and launch it through there? |
Steam has also updated to a non-working launcher with the same host_windowloadtimeout error. The game is and has been borked. No relief in sight, yet. |
Unfortunately this bug still persist. I'm constantly monitoring both the state of SWTOR on Wine AppDB and the main forum thread, but as of now there are not good news. |
The launcher loaded and went through several update cycles and then I am getting this Host_WindowLoadTimeout error.
I have read that this is due to wine updates or something, however reading your landing page does not mention it so thought that this would work. Definitely got further than anything else having the launcher come up and enter the update cycle.
