Instead of using "today" please incorporate a way to parse date in relation to tasks scheduling and due date to a specific date.

{
    "title": "TODAY TASKS",
    "type": "{{date}}",
}

This will incorporate Obsidian's native function of {{date}} or {{date:YYYY-MM-DD}}
