Конфигурационный файл. Точнее его 
отсутствие...

Поискал, что есть из готовых либов для 
работы с конфигами.
Вот что нашел:
1. libconfig   http://www.hyperrealm.com/libconfig/
2. glib-Key-value-file-parser  
http://library.gnome.org/devel/glib/unstable/glib-Key-value-file-parser.html
Правда glib потянет зависимости наверно

Были ли какие попытки реализовать конф 
файл?
