How do I set a variable for a specific window?

Hey, so I've spent a couple of hours trying to make scrolling in Firefox on my laptop smooth: the issue was that when scrolling slowly, it was getting choppy. As it turned out, the default value of input.touchpad.scroll_factor was just too high. However, after setting it to 0.08 and getting the smooth scrolling in Firefox I was after, scrolling in terminal became very slow. No terminal-specific settings help, I tried both kitty and foot, their multipliers don't do anything.
So I wonder: is there a way to override that variable just for Firefox, and leave it at default for everything else? Couldn't find a solution in the wiki.

Fixed by setting mousewheel.default.delta_multiplier_y to 24 in Firefox itself and leaving the scroll factor at default. But the question still stands as it could've been that the app hadn't exposed the required setting.
