I have a laptop and I use an external monitor. I have NVIDIA proprietary drivers, which I was able to work with following this guide. At first the external monitor was blank, but then I followed this guide and added:
to my wrapped. Now only my external monitor works, which is exactly what I want. The problem is that when I close the lid of the laptop, also the external monitor goes blank, and I don't want that (of course). There must be some hook left behind by GNOME that turns off the main monitor when the lid is closed, or something? Any idea? |

In
/etc/systemd/logind.conf
, changeHandleLidSwitch
fromsuspend
toignore
(of course uncomment the line first by removing the#
in front of it).
