I don't know if the following problem falls under the purview of this HB-wemo plugin, iOS 16.x or my hardware, a Wemo Insight Smart Plug.
I'll try to describe the problem here. For years, the following automation / shortcut worked:
When the washing machine hatch is closed, wait 10 seconds, check if there is a power consumption equal / higher 4 W, wait again 10 seconds, check again if there is a consumption higher than 4 W and if yes send me a message. "Washing machine started".
Since several iterations of iOS 16 it does not work anymore. From there iOS 16 is probably the cause, right?
Today I tried the whole automation with another smart plug - an Eve smart plug. With it, the above automation / shortcut instant works without any problems. So a hardware problem after all or the cooperation hardware and Wemo plugin?
The crazy thing about this is that it works the other way around. My other automation "Send me a message when the power consumption drops below a certain value" works.
BTW: I have been screwing back and forth on the timings and sweet spot power consumption for hours. No improvement at all.
Any suggestions? Ideas? Causes?
