Ideally, all chronicle textareas should be required. But because the textareas are replaced by ckeditor, native error messages for required textareas do not work. Ckeditor has documentation on this issue, but I could not get it working.

This has a downstream effect of not rendering the textarea on the edit page for freestyle chronicles if the user left the textarea blank on submission.
