No mail? No problem!

Today we implemented an exciting and often requested feature: mail-less accounts! From the start Hedy required users to enter a mail address when creating an account. The address is used for several functionalities such as account validation and password reset. Therefore the mail address will stay mandatory (for now) for normal accounts.

But this can be hard for use in the classroom as a lot of students don't have a mail address or no direct access. Therefore a much requested feature by teachers was to enable the creation of student accounts without this mandatory mail address. Well, it is from now on! Teachers are able to create accounts with only an username/password combination from within the Teacher dashboard. These accounts will be linked with the teacher and mails for functionality such as password recovery will be sent to the teacher as well. An exciting improvement that makes it even easier to use Hedy in the classroom!
